The 3’5” x 5’ Nain from Iran. Nain is a city and weaving area that is in central Iran and borders Iran’s largest desert, the Kavir-e-Lut. They are known for intricate floral carpets, like this one. While not the highest knot count example of Nain, this is still finer than many other types of carpets, with its 224 knots per square inch. It has a Persian blue field and ivory border. It has accent colors of maroon, light blue, mushroom, dark brown and tan.
