Tabriz Rug NJ3181(3’4” x 5’)

Description

The 3’4” x 5’ Tabriz from Iran. This Tabriz has a
wool pile that has silk inlay to highlight some of the design elements and give
them a little emphasis. It is woven with 289 knots per square inch, which gives
the angular portion of the pattern a nice crispness. The field is done in black
and the border in a medium brown. Accent colors are a pale light green, taupe,
red, gray, pink, beige, dark brown and ivory. If you look at the selvedge, at
the ends of the rug, you will see some “extra” weaving with small flowers and a
signature.
