GHOUM SILK Rug mj3280 (3’6″x5’2″)

Description

 The 3’6” x 5’2” Silk Ghoum from Iran. This finely
woven and all silk piece has a unique all over design throughout its field.
Most Qoms have a strong floral look to them with various vines and flowers that
make up the main focal points of the patterns. Here, while there is a small floral
motif, throughout it is the lattice like design that dominates and allows the
eye to travel over the rug instead of just focusing on a center medallion. It
has an ivory field and rust border. It has accents of dark forest green, camel,
tan, navy, light blue and salmon. It is woven with just over 500 knots per
square inch.
